How to change tranny oil?

On an Integra? Are you kidding???
There is a plug (square indention, so you have to use the end of your socket to open) on the tranny side (passenger). This is the drain plug. Slightly above it is the fill plug. I think it takes the standard 17mm...but don't quote me the size of the bolt. It takes about 2.5 quarts...it's a good idea to drain, fill, flush a couple of times to get all the old fluids out of the torque converter..a little waste but i know you love your car too much [img]smile.gif[/img]

The drain plug is a small 3/8" square drive bolt on the passenger side of the transmission case just ahead of the axle. Remove this and drain the trans fluid into a pan. The fill hole is just behind the axle and up about 3-4" from the bottom of the transmission case. It has a 17mm bolt head with a crush washer under it.
I use a long rubber hose on the end of a funnel to fill the trans with... simply insert the rubber hose into the fill hole about 2" and begin. On level ground, the trans will hold about 2.5 quarts of fluid. If the nose of the car is up in the air so you can get under it... it will hold less. Fill until the fluid runs out around the hose. Re-install the fill plug and tighten to 33 ft/lbs.
You can "flush" the trans case by running a few extra quarts of clean fluid through first... however, this will not accomplish much as the debris magnet probably has caught most of what may be floating around... unfortunately, as John mentioned, you would NEVER get the torque converter cleaned out since there is NOT one in a manual transmission !!! LOL.
I believe he meant the differential, but since you have a Quaife... this is a sealed unit and sending extra fluid through it will probably not help much at all... if any.

I had the LSD installed 6000 miles ago at an Acura dealer. They must've used new fluid to put it back together.
